Well blow me down! The original Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego was actually released on 3.5" disk in probably more limited quantities, as recently found on an eBay auction, confirming what I saw in Broderbund's later catalogues.

We are now lucky enough to possess a copy of it! The game should run fine from any IIe, IIc, IIc+ and IIGS equipped with a 3.5" disk drive. No more disk swapping necessary! It runs from System 6 just fine, although a quick copy to a hard drive resulted in an error when opening - another hard pathname preventing it to be run from anything other than from the 3.5" disk!

Enjoy this newer version of the absolute classic but don't forget there's a IIGS specific version as well.

We now have all the official releases of the 8-bit Carmen Sandiego series on 3.5" that are cracked including Where in the U.S.A. is Carmen Sandiego, Where in Europe is Carmen Sandiego, Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego and Where in America's Past is Carmen Sandiego.

Each game in the Carmen Sandiego series has also been specially modified to run from a hard drive / large ProDOS volume in this special collection, thanks to Marco Verpelli.
