It was pretty good fun. </p><p>According to Mr Johnson, the pad used something called variable capacitance to sense how high your hand was over the pad which rested on the desk next to your keyboard. It gave the ability to control Z axis and in the Futureshock game, you used it to make the marble jump over obstacles. </p><p>Ok. Update before I even finish posting. I found my old FuturePad and I took a picture of it and posted it as a submitted screenshot.
