Hi, I'm new to the ][gs. I am trying to enable networking support on sweet16 by downloading marinetti, but I can't mount the .SHK file. Can anyone help me?

Greetings Classicman!
You can't mount .SHK images with an emulator, as they are the native compressed archives for the IIGS.
You'll need to find a method of copying the Marinetti SHK archive to a disk image an emulator can read. That is becoming increasingly harder these days since Snow Leopard, because it will no longer let you write to a HFS formatted volume, which an Apple IIGS with System 6.0.1 can read and copy from.
I was relying on the Apple Commander program to do that for me since getting a new MacBook Pro with MacOS X 10.6.3, but the program doesn't seem to work properly, even after getting the latest Java update.
So the other alternative is for you to comb the web and try and find Marinetti on a downloadable disk image, easily used with Sweet 16.
I can't distribute such a disk image, as it breaks the licensing agreement attached to using Marinetti.
If you can't find a disk image on your own, I recommend asking the folks on the usenet newsgroup comp.sys.apple2:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.sys.apple2
There are Marinetti experts there can help you find a disk image ready to install onto a virtual IIGS with Sweet 16.
