Orange Cherry Software can hold claim to the fact that they released more IIGS specific educational software for the platform than any other developer, but quantity isn't as important as quality.

Global Express Atlas, as a concept, showed promise as a vehicle for learning about different countries and cultures, but when all is said and done, the final execution is less than rewarding.

You are to transport various supplies around the world learning as you go. However the amount of screens and mouse clicks involved in each delivery yields very little new information that was worth the effort.

And with the game on five disks, that's a fair amount of disk swapping to get your full value for money out of the product.

This was fairly typical for Orange Cherry's earlier releases and if they had just devised more clever ways to extend the life of their programs (in a way that Broderbund had done so with the Carmen Sandiego series) then these programs would have been better received.

As time progressed for Orange Cherry, their software did improve.
