800k PowerBook to IIGS transfer

Hello All,
I have been having great success in downloading IIgs files to my PowerBook1400c,
copying them to an 800K disk and then loading them onto my GS. But since yesterday
I ran into the problem of the .2mg files complaining that they need 1k more of space
to be able to copy to the 800k disk. Has anyone seen this before and could offer some assistance. This is a great way for me to get IIgs files running on my system. I
would very much appreciate any help I can get.
