The Learning Company officially released this last version v4.1, on 3.5" disk. Unlike other Learning Company releases on 3.5" this required no patch to make it hard drive installable.
Rocky's Boots was co-designed by Warren Robinett (who designed Atari Adventure and quite possibly the very first easter egg in a game to help receive recognition for his groundbreaking work) and Leslie Grimm, who founded the Learning Company. At it's core, Rocky's Boots teaches kids about logic in a fun way.
