Space Cluster is a good old fashioned shoot-em-up in the tradition of Galaxian. More specifically, it bares closer resemblence to 1981's Alien Rain by Tony Suziki, released way back for the Apple II.
As with all of Miami's productions, it loads in seconds and the game itself is fast, slick and smooth. The game can be played with either the keyboard or joystick.
Space Cluster has a strange hypnotic effect on me. I find I can continue to take out wave after wave of alien ships and not have to concentrate on the game at all. It's a very strange form of meditation. But I can't guarantee that if you make it through all 50 levels you'll obtain enlightenment.
